DAISY: Mid 20s-mid 30s. Beautiful African-American club singer who begins a relationship with Johnny. Gorgeous, caring & magnetic woman who risks her relationship with Johnny to ensure his baseball career. Must be an excellent singer who belts soprano notes.
TIMOTHY: Early 20s-early 30s. Daisy’s son & an unbelievably gifted baseball player. Tough & smart, but guarded. Must sing well. Baritenor.
ROBBY: 10-year-old male baseball fanatic. Intelligent, funny & empathetic. Especially interested in actors of all ethnicities. Must sing well.
FAN#9: 60s+, African-American man. Wise, mysterious baseball fan, who knows everything about the Red Sox & their history. Befriends Robby during a game. Should be comfortable carrying a tune.
BABE RUTH/FAN#1/CRONY#1: Late 30s-early 50s. Seeking strong character actor to play multiple roles including BABE RUTH: a womanizing, hard drinking baseball great who takes Johnny under his wing. An imposing physical presence. Must sing well.
